Eight partners from seven countries work together in this project. After a year, the partners are satisfied with cooperation and working results. Experience from daily work with disadvantaged young people has proven to be a solidly basis in cooperation. Even if the framework conditions in the partner countries are often very different, there is a common experience for working in the project. What all partners have in common is, they have experienced the life-changing power of internships - especially internships abroad - for your participants.
The project partners also had the experience that many schools, institutions and companies fear the effort involved in preparing, carrying out and evaluating such internships, often in addition to the requirements of daily work.
That is why the project focuses on teachers and trainers, finding material and tips for preparation, implementation and follow-up of such internships that encourage and keep the effort manageable.
These materials collected and exchanged in the first year, evaluated together and then put together in a collection of good examples.
Because the effort to translate materials into the national language is often the first stumbling block that leads to turning away from collections of good examples and materials. Our materials are now available in following languages: Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, English, French, Swedish, Romanian, and Polish. This content will be available on the project website https://incas.erasmus.site/
from early 2020.
In 2020 we will develop an e-learning platform that enables participants to prepare well for an internship with clear expectations, to record internship experiences and to make results and experiences of internship relevant on their next steps into training or job.
Until now, it has proven to be extremely useful to have the European network of Second Chance Schools (E2C) on board in order to be able to include experiences that go beyond the circle of project partners. At the same time, this also offers the opportunity to spread the project results across Europe.
