Second Chance School Allier reports from the Youth Event 2018 in Matosinhos
The Second Chance School Allier was composed of 1 leader (Anne-Gaëlle LECOMTE) and 4 trainees (Sara, Luna, Daniel and Mohamed). We arrived in Portugal on Monday June 4th.
The trainees chose the following workshops: Percussion / Music / Dance
Even if, the majority didn’t speak English, they realized they could still participate and get involved. They learnt new things, they met new people, they worked and they had fun. At the end of our experience, they all participated in public performance and they were proud.
Nevertheless, we would have liked to visit, to explore Matosinhos a little more to develop the cultural side of our trip.
As for me this experience was very recording as I participated in the leaders meeting where we exchanged information and good practices. That I will certainly use with my trainees from now on.
The most important thing we all learnt is that: You can achieve beautiful things with little means. You can become artist using simple instruments and you can have a beautiful life is you use our skills creative.
